Gig Harbor
A working harbor with a small-town waterfront, across the Narrows Bridge from Tacoma.
What it feels like
Gig Harbor wraps around its harbor. Downtown runs along Harborview Drive with the boats on one side and shops on the other, and on clear days Mount Rainier sits at the end of the bay. Homes range from older cottages near the water to newer neighborhoods up the hill and out toward Purdy.
